Martin General Hospital in Williamston, NC, Has Closed
On August 3, 2023, Martin General Hospital, located in Williamston, NC, announced that it is no longer accepting patients, including emergency patients, due to financial challenges. At the time of the closing, only a few Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) members were receiving inpatient services at the hospital. These members’ care was transferred to other providers or neighboring hospitals.
Blue Cross NC members can continue to seek care at neighboring in-network hospitals, including ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC, which is 22 miles south of Martin General Hospital.
The following clinics remain open to care for patients: Martin Family Medicine, Roanoke Orthopedics, Roanoke Specialty Services, Williamston Heart & Vascular, Roanoke Surgical
The following clinics have moved their offices to 232 Green Street: Williamston Heart & Vascular, Roanoke Specialty Services, Roanoke Surgical
