Reminder for Providers to Attest Every 90 Days to Confirm Accuracy of Directory Information
As posted earlier on Provider News, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) has partnered with Quest Analytics through their BetterDoctor solution for Blue Cross NC facility providers and non-delegated individual practitioners to review and attest to the accuracy of their directory information. This is being done in response to the federal Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA). As part of the Act, Blue Cross NC requires all network providers to confirm their demographic information published in its online provider directory every 90 days. The online provider directory (or "Find Care" tool) is used by over four million Blue Cross NC members to access medical services.
BetterDoctor simplifies the attestation process for providers through automatic reminders every 90 days and sharing updates and attestation status with other plans. For large groups, BetterDoctor now accepts rosters. Large groups can contact BetterDoctor directly at 844-668-2543 (8-5 PM CST) or rosters@questanalytics.com and request to be enrolled in BetterDoctor's large group health system (LGHS) program which allows providers to send a spreadsheet of all their locations for directory attestation.
