Ready. Set. NEW!

It’s time to go NEW!

Experience Health. Ready. Set. New!

It’s 2024, and our new operational system is now up and running. That means you should only be using your new Experience Health member ID card when you visit the doctor or get a prescription filled. Your care providers need the information on the new card to file your 2024 claims properly.

If you still have that old card hanging around, you can go ahead and cut it up with scissors or shred it. (Please be aware that a paper shredder for home use may not be able to shred your ID card.)

Make the switch to make a difference!

Let us know that you have switched to using your new card, and we’ll make a donation to your choice of one of the following charities:

North Carolina Arts Foundation

A vision of “arts for all people” is the guiding star of the North Carolina Arts Foundation. They support arts programs in rural, urban, and metropolitan counties across North Carolina that inspire our citizens and contribute to the well-being of their communities and our state.

Feeding the Carolinas

Feeding the Carolinas works in partnership with ten Feeding America affiliated Food Banks (regional distribution centers) to create a hunger-free North and South Carolina.

Special Olympics North Carolina

Special Olympics aims to combine high-quality sports with a wide audience and be a driving force for social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. Recognized globally as one of the largest Special Olympics programs in the world, Special Olympics North Carolina has nearly 40,000 child and adult participants.

Stay safe!

Beware of anyone who contacts you about your new Blue Medicare card. Experience Health will never call and ask for personal or private information about your new member ID number or card. Remember, if you have any questions, you can always call the Customer Service number on the back of your member ID card.

Still have questions?

Below are more details about the new member ID cards. If you don't see an answer for a question you may have or want further information, we're happy to help. Just call the Customer Service number that's listed on the back of your current member ID card.

Experience Health is updating our operational system. This change will enable us to administer your health plan more efficiently and effectively.

New ID cards will begin mailing out in mid-December. You should receive your card by the end of December.

If you do not receive a new card by the end of December, you may ask for another one to be mailed to you by calling the number on the back of your current ID card. Then, follow the prompts to request an ID card, and ask the Customer Service representative to send one to you.

It's very important that you begin using your new member ID card on January 1, 2024. This ensures your care isn't disrupted and your claims are processed correctly.

No. Experience Health is sending you a new ID card because your member ID number is changing, effective January 1, 2024. Of course, Experience Health will replace ID cards as needed, if your card is lost or damaged.

No. Pre-authorizations will automatically shift to your new member ID. You will not need to take any action.

To protect the safety and security of your personal information, please destroy and dispose of your old ID card after December 31, 2023. You can either cut up the card with scissors or use a shredder. (Please be aware that a paper shredder for home use may not be able to shred your ID card.)

If you continue to use your old ID card at a provider's office or at the pharmacy after January 1, 2024, your Experience Health coverage status may show as inactive at the point of service, and claims may not process correctly.
